Hi novice tiler here

Hi Dave from London here.Have 1 wk tiling course behind me and my boss expects me to be a master tiler.My speed is not the best but will get there.Been put under pressure by them doesnt help:mad2:

many years ago before i was permitted to go on site , i had to tile a mock up bathroom in the company's warehouse .
and was assessed as to weather i was up to scratch , i passed , thank god

Glad it went well mate.They asked me to go on a course and now expect me to do a bathroom on my own.Setting out and speed r my downfalls at the minute but hopefully it will come for me

i too have been put under a lot of pressure but i found it actually helped me progress a lot faster than standing there watching all day, good luck mate

My advice would be to work with another tiler for a bit and maybe you will learn how to set out properly and tricks of the trade to help build up you speed instead of trying to run before you can walk. ...hope this helps.

Andy i wasnt been smart.I've told them that I would benefit from workin with a tiler but they just dont listen.1wks introductory course and I should know it is what they think.Ah well.Thanks for advice and hopefully you and other tilers can guide me along the way.Cheers

You have no chance mate, most tilers on here think they are the floyd mayweathers of the tiling world , and wouldnt pee on you if you were on fire [emoji33]
You have more chance being helped by a isis terrorist in syria if you aint a 'proper tiler'
