Hi,
Looking for some advice on grout. I recently had my bathroom tiled and after a few days the grout turned a yellow colour. The tiler has said this was due to me smoking in the house. Can any one advise please?

Hi, A day after the tiles were up i used a clean damp cloth to wipe them down.

Hi,
Didn't see what he used! The guy who tiled my bathroom is supposed to be bring a rep with him on Thursday, and i just want to be able to put my point across without talking crap. He actually had the nerve to leave a tool with my husband and told him to remove the grout and he would come back and regrout. I am just looking for answers to why the grout turn a yellowish colour over a few days. Any ideas??

Hi Kilty, I used a damp cloth to clean the tiles a couple of days after they were put up. There was a slight discolour at that point. He said the grout he used had tiny holes in it and therefore the nicotine discoloured the grout. I smoke in the kitchen and have had tiles in there for 6 years and they are no where as discoloured as those in the bathroom
