hi all
thanx very much evryone 4 all the help, much appreciated....is it maybe fair 2 say that it is too early in the day 4 me 2 tackle this job ??
My very first job as a pro tiler was a regrout!

Took 2 days and was paid the princely sum of £220. I informed the customer that it was virtually impossible to remove grout without some sort of tile damage and she was happy for me to give it a go. She was delighted with the end result and gave me more work afterwards.

Get in there......only way to learn!

Welcome to the forums mate!

I have never been asked to do a re grout as yet (been going 7 months nearly).
I wouldn't take one on either right now as I have enough work but seen as you have just started and are needing work you should probably just go for it.

As grumpy said just tell the customer that there may be some damage to the tiles when removing the grout and it not really avoidable.

Just don't feel like you have to do it...... I remember my first job was nerve wracking and that was just a straight forward floor going into two rooms, if you don't fancy it then come the day you will be feeling rather worried!

Good luck and let us know what happens!!

Gaz
