Hi - tho I may be a dead man soon!

Guys a workman in wallmounting a TV in a bedroom. He drilled right through a tile in Bathroom. Wife will go ape. I need a replacement tile as per attached photo. Size is about 8" x 5", pale blue textured. Its about 20 years old. House is a Mcleans Home. Anyone any ideas please!!!

How on earth did said person not realise he needed to stop drilling at a certain depth???

You need to come clean to the wife as soon as she's home. Honesty is always the best policy. Chances of you finding a 20 year old tile are slim, but register your details here. You never know they may be able to save your bacon. Good luck

Honestly.... I believe in GSI, get someone in but this guy was foxed by drilling into plasterboard and not realising it was a thin wall. I really should have and could have done it myself. He is a wire puller (arial fitter) and used to drilling through 2 foot not 6 inches. Thanks for the hint, I'll give them a try

I'd just tell her you are going to update the bathroom and retile the lot, or you could put a self adhesive hook over it and hang a coat on it.
As for the tile - sorry no idea!

That's not a tile I recognise. If the tile is 20 odd years old you might struggle to find them. I'd check under the bath panel though, a small chance you'll find a few under there.

Hole in tile. No spare under bath. He said he would sort it to be fair but he is not a tiler. I have now out some filler in and it don't look too bad so buys me some time! Hooks etc not an option where it is but thanks for the tips guys. Oh and a re- tile not an option either for my pocket right now

joking apart, you can get resin to colour match the tile, that should do the trick..

Look on the bright side, you'll have sound effect in the bathroom now.
Sit in the bath or on the toilet and listen to coronation street, eastenders etc.lol.
I would resin it or hang something there until you update the room.

Thanks for all your comments guys. 24 hours gone and no one noticed. My little patch up is not great, I filled the hole in with filler, smothered in around the whole, stuck some of the broken tile bits on it and whilst it looks like a bit of a grout mound on the tile, it's no more than the size of a 5p, not in eye line and colour has blended quite well. I will get away with it right to the point she goes to wipe down the tiles and scapes it off!! Maybe I'll volunteer to clean bathroom for a while! Oh and she is, rather was a blackbelt at Judo!

you should make your self scarse for the next 2 days or do a few jobs around the houe so that your too busy to tell her . then ask her dod she notice anything in the bathroom (if she hasnt(dont take her word about it )you can tell her how good a job of blending it in you did) show her then promise to get it fix . then grovel as you run and hide
