first i'd like to say I'm not a professional, I enjoy tiling and have done several bathrooms for my family. However my son has just bought his first house ahich i am getting ready for him to move in to. I was going to tile his bathroom the normal way with a 60/40 split with boarder. He now wants it to have it tiled with the "brick pattern" having never done this could anyone explain the best way to set it out, where to start and do you follow the patern around the room (by that i mean if you have a quarter tile cut in a corner do you put the off cut three quaters on the next wall? Tile size will be around 20cm x 25cm
many thanks

nodrog hi,when doing brick pattern be sure the tiles you are using are suitable by that i mean check for straightness,ie bows in or out because under certain lights they look lippy and there is not much you can do about it,as for set out you can do as u suggest continue the pattern. use a plumb line to keep your perps [vertical joints]spot on.good luck

Welcome to the forum mate, as kevan says check tiles are not bowed, did one recently, explained to customer what they would look like and suggested landscape but she had her way and looked rubbish. You need FLAT walls and 'wrapped' round the corners of your bathroom looks best. Spent half a day setting out though
