Greetings all! Unenthusiastic but relatively competent DIYer from the West Midlands (UK. In case any of you international guys were wondering.) here.
I have found, over the years that I can usually turn my hand to pretty much anything, given enough time and the right advice. Time isn't a problem to find (although inclination is another story. ), but good advice is worth it's weight in gold!
I've been renovating my bathroom for the past 18 months. Like I said, inclination is a quality I'm sadly lacking.
It started with the discovery of woodworm in an old plywood bath panel and, through a series of "well, whilst I'm doing X I might as well do Y", culminated in me ripping the whole room back to bare brick and joists. During these fun packed months I have re plumbed the whole room, re wired it, dry walled it, insulated the roof, fitted a new upvc window, the list goes on. All with the help / expertise of members of forums like this one.
So here we go! The final straight! The end is in sight! Just the tiling left to do...... Then I can get on with the hundred and one other jobs round here, that have been sitting on the back burner.
