Noob here,

Engineer by qualification but now working on building the DIY skillset and plan to replumb and tile the wall of my bathroom.

Been spending lots of time reading about tiling and now got a Mapei shower waterproofing tanking kit for the shower and Mapei sealant and grouting, just looking for a recommended adhesive - too much choice!

Will be sticking tiles to the shower tanking and the bare Lathe and Plaster walls, so need a cement based flexible - but which one ?

Welcome along to TF, I don't use Mapei products, so I'll let someone else advise.

What tiles are they?
Is the lathe and plaster sound,weight would be a issue on a wall like that

Hi. The tiles are 300x600, 8mm ceramics. Approximately 21kg/m2

Personally I would'nt be tiling with that weight on lath and plaster, it was never designed for that....a lime wash maybe but not that tile size.
