hollow tile

I have 2 600x600 porcelain tiles in the middle of my kitchen floor that sound hollow, thw grouting is ok and not cracked.
I cant get the same shade of tile anymore, any ideas on the best way to sort this?

The only thing to do is remove all the grout around the tiles to see if they lift......

hollow tiles

have taken the grout out but they wont come up, they are solid mostly solid around the edges but the magority of the 2 tiles sound hollow when waliked on.

any other ideas please as if i break them trying to take them up them im knackered as no more tiles to match

Are you sure its not the sub floor that is hollow ?

You may be able to put a suction tile lifter on it and see if you can loosen the adhesive bond, but it could break the tile as well.

I dont think its the sub floor ad all the other tiles are solid, these 2 tiles sound really hollow when i tap them.

Try a very wet cement slurry and pour in between the joints always used this method but on a sand & cement floors when the tiles would come lose it might work.
