no idea...I dont quote sq mt..when doing bathroom refits I charge day rate..work out how many days...work out materials..add another £150 for luck...

Been a bit since I read this thread and it's starting to sound a bit unprofessional ! Tiling onto bouncy floors (just covered with Ditra) and adding £150 for luck!

The dentist sounds a chancer £80 a day !,we had one last week the wife gave a price and the guy came back with -" if you knock 20 % off its yours " LOL that amounted to £6000,00 pounds !!!!!! so we whent back and said we don't put money-on to take off!! as a good will gester we would come down a fraction on the labour - just to secure the job ! and he took -it, thank god !lol as its a good earner ........

and as for the £150 for luck..what I quote is none of anyone's business except me and the customer..I add on for any eventualities that might occur during strip out to that they don't get any surprises at the end..it's a fixed price..if the customer dont like the price they don't pay the money...what I don't get is someone following me around re-doing my work! ..I'm not the one charging a fortune or costing customers extra money through outrageous shoddy work ..so when you want to talk about being unprofessional you need to direct your comments at the cowboys ...not us
