how much per m2

I have recently started up tiling on my own after doing a course and working with an experienced tiler for a few weeks, have learned loads from both. With help from him i have got some site work to do, not enough to keep me going all the time tho, so am looking for private work also. Trouble is i dont know how much to charge, we are both on a set rate on the site and he says i should charge the same for private work but i think it would be too much. Any advice????

Go for £16.50 per m/s. Dont charge the earth as normally tiling on site involves nothing but banging on the tiles onto nice fresh walls/floors with nothing in the way (toilets/sinks etc). So you can make your money easily.

However, always look at the build plan or job if you can, to make sure there are no art pieces to be created in the way of horrendous cuts. Or being sure that you are not laying mosaics etc, where then you would have to bump the price up a bit....
