do you change the weel on your monty or sigma ,obviously depending on what you cut just in general if you tile professionally every day

I've got a montolit and from new it was used nearly every working day for over a year with no real sign of the wheel being knackered, i replaced as i though surely it needed it, and the new one worked just the same!
I'm not hard on wheels though as you really don't need to apply too much pressure.

Being a Rubi man, I have different wheels for different jobs, can't remember the last time I bought a new one.:lol:

I've had a 10mm wheel in my TX700 for 2 years now and it's my main cutter, gets used most days.

Been thrashing my sigma on porcelain for the last 12 months and now feel it is ready for a change, so every 12months if extensively used.
The cost is minimal so for me it is probably a case of when you feel it is necessary.

We say they should last for around a year to be safe as some lads score really hard on the tile but many people using Sigma change them every 1/2yrs. I have had loads of people saying their wheel is over 3 yrs old and one guy seven years!!!!!! couldn't do that much tiling to last that long surely.

Your the second person to say seven years now and you used it loads of times?. Maybe some last longer than others or maybe it's due to how hard you score the tile? either way that's not bad for the money.

I've used my ts50 for nigh on 10 years now,the 1st 2 years everyday none stop on crappy council jobs,still use it every month,on porca and ceramics,I've not bought a new wheel yet,then again I am a tight arse
