how to tackle this

here's the scenario; a badly tiled balcony with a hot poured resinous membrane!.Customer (Roger's firm!) want to over tile. MMMM! ripping up the existing tiles will ruin the resinous membrane I assume, ditra will be ok for the shear (lateral) movement, but what about the vertical movement? impossible to strengthen with noggins as the balcony frame is all galvanized steel on gallows brackets. Anyway, CM (the one that docked me £500,) has asked if I'd do it IF a specification can be obtained and without recourse and liabilty, (they would try and obtain a spec for it).
Has anyone done anything like this?:smilewinkgrin:

Fair point about load, as for size, if its not huge, could you sheet it with one piece of wpb leaving a Silicon expansion joint all around, this would then take up any lateral and vertical movement ................................maybe, a type of tiled mat ?????

In the grand scheme of things Fred, they have given me a lot of work over the years, so will not hold it against them too much.
