how to tackle tiling around a shower tray

how would you lads tackle this? it taken a while but im nearly there. ps the shower tray was already fitted.

Hi, first i would have layed Ditra Matt on ply

ditra or hardiebaker to start like tony, always cover ply now and its gonna get wet next to shower imo.

Well that was helpful. Ditra Matt is too expensive and customers wont pay for it and why will the ply get wet just because its next to a shower? Isnt that the point in the tiles in the first place?

Here is a tray i tiled round on wednesday i just used my nippers and filled my boots up with tile chippings.

No that's what tanking is for, like ditra or hardie, water gets through the grout

tiles will let water through god knows how many times i've ripped out bathrooms and its soaked behind tiles floor or walls.

If you are talking about the cuts then use a diamond blade (montolit for example) on a small angle grinder

How thick is the ply and is it primed on the edges and the underside ???

With some tiles the backing is but the glaze makes them water proof and porcelain is impervious
