i broke my hot tap

turned the hot tap on for my bath, and the top of the tap sheared off, anyone know if you can get the inner workings of a tap or do you have to replace the whole tap..........it' s a right pig to get to if i have to replace it.

panic over......managed to get the bit from b and q , seems they have there uses.
