It's in the garage now. He had been debating whether to repair it or not and decided that it owes him nothing after 30 years so he might as well repair it. And what sort of Sunday runaround would he get for the same money as the repair costs. Oh,and his 30 year old wanted him to repair it as it's one of the family!
