Idiots on eBay

I was bidding on something on eBay just now that i wanted, so today i rang the supplier and asked him how much this piece of machinery was to buy new, £330 inc vat and delivery. Right i thought put a bid on of £180 that will win it...Anyway it had 19 bids and sold for £365 plus £20 delivery and its 3 years old...Dont these people do there home work :stupid:

I've PM'd a few people before now.............telling them that they have just paid well over the odds for whatever it was. I sometimes put a link in as well to show them.

Been there done that, been out bid on a load of items and the peeps payy well over the price in the shops:stupid: but i never bid on any thing with a load of bidders it usually means the bidding goes silly:mad2:

I tried to buy a rear light lens for my renault the other day off E Bay. The guy had started it at £10 + £15 P&P. I asked him how much for a buy ii now so he said £70:huh2:

After much deliberation I decided to go to local renault dealer and pay them the £49 + VAT:lol: :lol: :lol:

ebay is a mad place. have you seen the price people will pay for 2nd hand tools!!
if the tool looks knackered they go for about 30 below the price of a new item, but if you say the tool you are selling is brand new, no ******* buys it!!!, well thats what ive found so i am going to mess up that ts50 i'm selling and get about 200 quid for it...???

I was a powerseller on ebay once. Shifted loads of stuff on there. People will use it just because it's ebay, and they like ebay.

I used to have people buying items for more than I had them marked up for in my normal store on my own websites. Sometimes due to the extra 'security' they get by using the ebay feedback system.
