That looks like an offcut of a 'chick' tile. Is it 4 inch square? You can see the outline of a chick in them.

Are you sure its a Pilkington. I think they did do one similar but the main one was H&R Johnson or Cristal ....Textured Vein.

Chicken tiles aint they? Johnsons those are, Neale's right. They were out for years so you have a good chance of finding some somewhere I'd guess. 6x6 I think they were. Nicknamed chicken tiles as the vein in them appears to look like a chicken when held the right way. Though they did have an actual name too, I forget now though. Topps may have the name on their system still. (Tile Giant even but I know Topps did).

TV and then a number or Textured Vein, Candy had a similar tile to but it didn't have the chicken in it. The main one was Johnsons, TV . 4 1/4" or 6".

pilkington and johnsons did them one had a chicken on them the other a lamb,not to sure wich way round though,i remember dooing a foreiner when i was abou 17 and the chap made me take them offbecause they werent all the same way up,{}{<>>.-+#%$*,and so i learnt my lessonthat nearly all tiles have a pattern on them,and to keep them all the same way unless told otherwise
