impact driver

got a body only makita from screwfix for £90 was not to sure about it was only buying it because it was cheap until i used it today screwing my batons on the wall straight through into the blocks no raw plugs now i am convinced

I bought an AEG from B&Q that was closing down . Paid about £25 and its great.

I got a Dewalt set from screwfix a few months ago (drill and impact driver), massive difference from ni-cad batteries. Great tool for hardie.

oh yeah, they'll send 100mm screws through 4x2 no bother.

They're hard to do without. Mines only a 14v Dewalt I bought off a plumber but it's not far behind his new 18v. It will put a screw througb literally anything. Scary power for a 14v

I find good quality bits Dr then harder to come by. Used to by the 4" long pozi bits but they kept snapping.
So brought a cheap couple of extensions and a few packs of the DeWalt PZ2 bits they usually have out on the counter. Doesn't matter if you snap them

wera impact bits are the only ones that last. they still blow out driving 100mm screws into hardwood though

With you on that, Wera Impaktor bits off flea bay @ £2 each but last for ages.
