Yep!! winters were winters and summers were summers....Now it's about the same all year round...:smilewinkgrin:..

fitted all the gas pipes and electrics in my first reonvation including the outside sockets and lights and gas points plus the gas cookers and fires.......not allowed nowadays even though competent have not got a peice of paper to say so.....

I remember recessed soap dishes.
1973 - 4inch breeze block construction internal wall of a bathroom.
With lump hammer and bolster chisel I did merrily bash into this wall a 3 inch recessed soap dish.
Just to get that last little bit off and ........ a clear view through into the bedroom.
OH! How I don't miss those soap dishes.
