I had to grout the bosses tiling for him!
4and a quarter inch donkey brown by Cristal (H&R Johnson) they came in boxes of 144 and a cardboard spacer every 12 tiles.
Yep! Every 13th tile fixed to the wall was cardboard!
At the time it was BalTad adhesive which was a metallic grey colour and I'd have to cut it out of every joint before grouting - with Portland white cement.
We were not taught/allowed to wash the grout off - it was raked in the joint and polished off with a clean cloth (often my vest/'t' shirt). If it was damp conditions outside we'd be there all day.
