Just been working on a water treatment plant and was fine when i went on there .
They did usual induction and made us aware of chlorine that was on the complex and if it got out :yikes:.
Anyway last week felt tired as anything after working on there and headache,s that would,nt go .
Anyway goes there today and knackered last night and rough this morning decided to ask plumbers if they were feeling rough and he stated that he was knackered and had been up all night vomiting :yikes: and asked another plumber and he stated that he felt really tired .
That was enough for me pulled off as my head felt likeit was going to blow up stated to the contractor why i had pulled off and he asked was i ok yes was my reply just a really bad headache and i,ll give it ago tommorow .
The thing is you dont know what you are breathing in on these places and these people just feed you aload of bull that everything is ok on the complex try telloing that to my body and the plumbers .
Scary really .

So it is something on there plant that is filtering through there air con systems and as i have stated they are probably use to it / ie / the staff .

What did you end up doing did you stick it out as i have felt like cr.. and the plumber as i stated has been vomiting ,most of the other tradesmen have just felt knackered as i have done but i got bad headaches .

Going to go back tommorow but not looking forward to it .

a bit off thread in a way, I also worked on a water treatment works, mainly plastering, and was halfway through skimming a really big ceiling when the site agent said that if I didn't wear a hard hat (when skimming ceilings:mad2::lol:) I'd be asked to leave the site! I jumped off the scaffold and offered him the use of my trowel to carry on with the skimming!, he kinda backtracked

If they are using chlorine gas, to treat the water, it could be that. Chlorine gas is leathal. I still work for a paper mill, where i look after the water system, including a water filtration plant. We used to use chlorine gas, but have changed to biocides, because of the dangers of the chlorine. If we had, had a chlorine leak, the whole local area would have had to be evacuated, best part of a square mile. You should report this incident to someone, it could be dangerous.

Cheers, Edd
