Stonefix XP 250 is a free flowing, self smoothing, protein free, floor levelling compound, blended from a mixture of high quality, fibre reinforced, raw materials.
Revolutionary Product For Levelling Up To 50mm in a Single Pour onto Concrete, Timber, Bitchamen, Chipboard, DPC, Tanking, Insulation Boards, and Underfloor Heating Systems. Also use Stonefix XP250 for creating a fall, or a slope.
One Bag of Stonefix XP250 Levelling Compound Will Cover:
(recommended thickness over electric underfloor heating - 4 mm)
3.7 Square Metres at 4 mm
1.8 Sqaure Metres at 8 mm
1.0 Square Metres at 15 mm
0.59 Square Metres at 25 mm
0.42 Square Metres at 35 mm
0.29 Square Metres at 50 mm (maximum depth for one pour)
OR Use The XP250 Calulator.
Take the height in millimeters you wish to come up and multiply this number by 1.7, then divide by 25 and multply this number by the area in square metres you wish to level, the number you will be left with will be the required amount of StoneFix XP250 to cover this area.
For Example: 5mm mulitplied by 1.7 divided by 25 mulitplied by 48 sq / m = 16.32 (17 No. - 25kg bags of StoneFix XP250)

Uses
StoneFix XP250 Self Levelling Compound can be applied in thicknesses from 2mm to 50mm in a single pour. It provides an economic means of levelling and renovating existing floors, prior to the installation of floor coverings such as ceramic tiles, natural stone, timber or carpet. it is particularly effective for encasing underfloor heating systems where its thermal transfer properties enhance the heating application.
StoneFix XP250 Self Levelling Compound is suitable for use in homes, schools, office buildings, public building, sports halls, department stores and hospitals.
Application
For small areas StoneFix Levelling Compound should be mixed using a slow speed mixing drill and whisk attachment, and poured by hand. For larger areas the use of a mixer pump is recommended.
Substrate Preparation
Substrates must be hard, sound and free from dust, oil, grease, paint, plaster, laitance or any other contaminant that could prove a barrier to adhesion. Heavily contaminated floors may require special treatment and specific advice should be sought. Generally substrates are best prepared by mechanical methods such as shot blasting, planing or scabbling. The substrate must be vacuum cleaned prior to application of primer. the substrate must not leach moisture. Anhydrite screeds must not have more
than 0.5% residual moisture before being covered. Recently laid
cement/sand renders and screeds must be left for two weeks and three weeks respectively before covering. indoor air and floor slab temperature must exceed +6 oC with relative humidity not exceeding 95%.
Priming
Substrates must be primed with Stonefix Acrylic Primer. Particularly porous or absorbent substrates may require a second coat. Neither priming nor floor laying should be attempted if the indoor air or floor
slab temperature is less than +6 oC
Laying on Wooden Floors
(Including tongue & Groove Chipboard)
The timber should be stable and able to carry the weight of the levelling compound and the overlayment. Flooring must not move when stepped upon. Partitions must not flex when pressed by hand. if this is not the case, reinforce the floor with noggins between the joists and replace the boards. Brace unstable partitions. the surface of the timber should be primed with Stonefix Acrylic Primer diluted 1:1 with clean water.
Mixing & Laying
No additive is required. Each 25kg bag should be mixed with 5 litres of clean cool water. Mix with a slow speed mixing drill and whisk attachment for approx two to three minutes to remove all air bubbles. When pumping StoneFix XP250 Self Levelling Compound check the material flow regularly to ensure the correct consistency of material is being achieved.
Drying
Setting and hardening times will vary depending on temperature and ventilation. Setting and hardening times will be shortened at high temperatures and extended at low temperatures. Adequate ventilation is essential during the drying process but draughts must be eliminated to avoid uneven drying patterns.
Generally StoneFix XP250 Self Levelling Compound can withstand light foot traffic after two to four hours at 20 oC. At 20mm thick and temperature of 20 oC the floor will be ready for the finishing covering after 24 hours.
Joints
In accordance with Codes of Practice all isolation joints, construction joints, columns and the like should be isolated to allow both the substrate slab and topping to move freely relative to the fixed part of the building. therefore all isolation and construction joints should be made conformable through the topping by disc cutting within 24 hours so as to prevent stress induced cracking caused by building or slab movement.
Yield
For every 1mm thickness 1.7kg of dry powder per square metre will be required, i.e. 1m2 at 10mm thickness will require 17kg of dry powder.
