doing a quote today for a big house builder they have ask for £5 million liability cover ( i have 3) but when as a tiler would i ever cause 5 mill of damage ??????????

I think it's just as much if someone gets injured thats whats pushing the price up.....injury claims and all that.

Sounds like some Health & Safety jobsworth inventing company rules and dictating stupid levels of cover to justify his own job!

Can't imagine why there is any justification or £5m cover - unless someone is already planning to make a claim against you.....

got a quote from the insurance it is only £22 to go from 3mill to 5 mill, also spoken to iosh as a member they say thet they would recomed as a tiling company that 500k is more than you will every need ( there words : what more can you damage than a bath or a work top ? )

its not really for what damage you cause to an inanimate object ,its what damage you could cause to a person/persons,its all about what value ending someones life could cost,apparently 5 million would suffice
