Is this the right Adhesive?

Hi

My first post.

Laying 600x300 Porcelain tiles - on walls, (plastered brick and one wall where I have put up tile backing boards)

The shop I bought tiles from sold WEBER FIX WR tubs for fixing to the wall, BUT the tub states Ok for tiles up to 300x300 - I have questioned the guys at the shop twice and they say its fine and they use all the time.

I kind of want to belive them but surely the adhesive manufacture should know best.

Any advise much apreciated as once they are up I want them to stay up!

Welcome to the forum,

That adhesive is useless for everything, take it back and get a slow setting flexible bagged adhesive. You can get rapid set if you feel you can tile quickly. Tubbed adhesive has no place in any tiling situations.

When you say plastered bricks do you mean a sand and cement render?

Absolutely not suitable for "large format tiles", take it back. You need a cement based single part flexible adhesive and go to a proper tile shop to get it.

as above-no use for tiles that size,mapei keraflex or keraquick is what you are looking for
