Isolating switch needed? Discussion ThreadIsolating switch needed? Electrical Advice
Hi, I have an underfloor heating system in a room (just less than 2kW). It works absolutely beautifully but an electrician who came to swap a socket in that room said that it looked like a ‘lazy install’. He was unprofessional and a rip-off - so I want to get someone else to check it - but I don’t know what to ask for and I don’t want to be ripped off. The thermostat is wireless and in a suitable position. The receiver unit (which, according to the manual, connects to the floor probe and heating) is next to an rcd fused spur which looks like this (M92W GreenBrook Electrical 13A Safetysure RCD Spur, 1 Gang, White | YESSS Electrical - https://www.yesss.co.uk/13a-safetysure-rcd-spur-1-gnag-white) and that is next to a double socket. Should it also have an isolating switch? Thanks so much to anyone answering this.
