The forum has given me lots of help as a visitor but have now joined. I recently completed work requiring laying Travertine tiles diagonally in a kitchen diner, hallway and extending into a cloakroom at the end. The tiling is likely to be continued later into the sitting room. The measuring to keep the tiling square to the walls and avoid very small pieces of cut tiles was a challenge. The customer wanted the tiles to go under the legs of the kitchen units and I used car scissor jacks with timber blocks to support them. I had to undercut the architrave and stops round 5 doorways. All tiles were cut using a bridge saw 400 x 400 tiles; a Bosch P180 multi tool was used for the undercutting and removing the grout and tile on one badly laid tile.
