Its a mess!!

Hi guys, I started tiling full time back in Jan, doing site work to start with, so mess and cutting was never a problem.
Since this lovely summer came along, I am now doing domestic. As its been so nice I haven't had a problem with cutting mess, as I can setup the wet cutter or grinder outside.. But as the winter starts to slowly approach I am wondering where I will be doing my L cuts etc.. I,ve tried grinding indoors.. to much dust.. I,ve tried the wet cutter indoors, too much water..
So what do you guys normally do, come winter or when its p**sing it down.
I,ve considered a gazebo or the likes, but this seems a bit overboard.

Any tips?

Nowt overboard about it!
You have to cut somewhere so at the estimate stage make the customer aware that you'll need an area - the front of the garage - to wet cut ( always grind outside). Take tarpaulins to cover up and place on floor and reverse your van up and a canopy from the back of the van, jobs a good un.

Get the right wet cutter and theres no reason why you cant cut indoors.....obviously you put dust sheets everywhere but I do that any way...

Haven't you seen the ad for the dewalt 24000, can be easily carried upstairs and set up in a bedroom or something and with all the fancy rubber guards there is no overspray!! Obviously I'm kidding. Your typical bathroom only has 4/6 'L'cuts see can be done quickly with grinder outside.

I always wet cut outside or ideally in the customers garage. I have a picture somewhere of me using my wet cutter outside during a heavy snowfall.

I cant wait until im on site in winter forget the rain what about breaking the ice on top of the water tubs and then having to use it I know for a fact that's gonna hurt lol

Wait till you comb the adhesive onto the walls & it starts freezing straight away!!!

as someone said, usually there isn't an abundance of wetcuts... use a small wetcutter on a tarp... no problem... or go back to the old way... nipping them out ;-)
