I’ve won a Nissan NV200 van in the Makro competition – or so I thought!

I entered this competition a few weeks ago. My phone went ‘beep beep’ today and I checked my messages. An email with the subject: You’re a winner in MAKRO Drive Away Giveaway. My heart started beating faster and faster as I tried to read down to find out more details.

Then it says ‘everyones a winner’ and I have won a voucher. I have just logged on from home and found out that my winning voucher entitles me to buy a pot of single cream for 1p (instead of 99p). I now hate Makro!!

When they say 'Everyone's a winner' you know they're just living in their own little marketing fantasy world! I just don't see how they made the connection between people hoping to win a van and a tub of cream?

How about buying 10 pots of cream for 10p total, goingto your local Makro store for the last time - call it a farewell visit for old times sake. Go to the in-store cafe, order a tea and scone, go to the back of the resturant and leave the cream behind when you leave - making sure it well hidden. Rotten old trick - who would do that !
