Why has jbrooks thread been locked not that I want it to carry on I just think it was coming to the end of its life anyway, there was not much more people could say about how the job should have been done and it would have just fizzled out like the thousands of other threads that are on the forum that have not been locked it just feels a bit like someone has come along and slapped a gagging order on it. Ok it may have gone astray a bit in parts but with the exception of the Swedish conspiracy it was a good thread the people that jumped the gun got shot (no harm in that IMHO) just not sure why you feel it needed to be shut down.

I think liz closed it due to it going off topic and getting out of hand. In my opinion though, Dean you are the major player in that thread so you should have an option of reopening it.

Some times us Mods do what we think is right, maybe in cases like this the original poster should be asked 1st ?

I’m just not a fan of stopping people from having there say if it is not getting abusive and it is still on a tiling subject just let it run there is no harm in having a constructive argument. IMO a thread should only be looked as a last resort

The main problem from my point of view is that the thread started to go onto Epoxy grouts which is all good info but its within a thread about the mosaics, so therefore when people search for info regarding Epoxy it is harder to find.
If things are not kept in some form of order then it becomes messy IMO.

Personally I'd like to see a sticky thread that has links to good threads inside. i.e one sticky with links to the PVA thread, Oli's 'things I asked', weight limits, deanos mosaic..... etc. etc.
