Job help

Hi,

I am relatively new to the trade but feel I am competent at tiling floor and walls. I would like to ask for any suggestions on how to get onto construction sites. I have my CSCS card but I am unsure of where to look for tiling jobs! Back in the day, you could just turn up and ask to speak to the bossman! is there websites that I should be looking on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any tips for private work leads would also be welcomed!

You could try agencies but it would probably be site work.
A website is something you should be looking at to get domestic work.
If no one can see you then no one knows you are there. Look at your profile ! you have the chance to say where you are from when filling in that profile so at the moment you are in the shade !

Get cards printed and put them in shops and give them to everyone that you meet.

Unless you can elaborate on your tiling experience it would be difficult to provide much advice as it may be beyond your capabilities ie. do you have NVQ level 2, have you been tiling over 5 years, have you a portfolio etc.

hi simon,try and look around sites to see if you can find the tiling company on the job,if that doesnt work get the number off the company work van.be prepared to have all the tools and your own power,ie genny
