Hey up - - just popped on here in the hope of finding one or two tiles I appear to be short of. Started tiling my bathroom 4 years ago (yep - -4 long long years:angel_smile: ), on the home stretch now - - and as I had my airing cupboard removed a couple of months ago, I find myself with not enough tiles.
Tiles were bought , well, 4 years ago I guess - bought more than enough as I envisaged problems, this being my first tiling project (and my last ). I must have been a wise man all those years ago as problems I had - - just could not get the window area right - plus my tile cutter thingie just didn't want to cut in a straight line so cut most of them, in the early days at least, with an angle-grinder:confused: .Even now can't use this tile cutter and am doing all cutting with a glass-cutter.
Anyway, I digress - - - I now find myself, because of the airing cupboard not being there, perhaps 21 tiles short. Looks like I will be wopping a full length cupbard where the missing tiles will be - but did a google on discontinued tiles which brought me here.

Just doing a search on this forum - will let you know how I get on - or not, as the case may be. Sad or what, browsing a forum on a Saturday night -

Fekin - nice name mate - the thing that really narks me right now, and I mean nark, is that now I have noe airing cupboard, I have room for a walk-in shower - - but as i have one of those fancy shower bath thingies with a curved bulb kind of effect at the end, and which cost me an arm and a leg - -to put in a walkin in shower would make this shower bath thingie which, did I tell you, cost me an arm and a leg - look a bit naff. And to remove the shower bit and screen bit would probably look sillier as the bulb thingie is at the plug hole end and used simply as a bath, the wide deep end would be where your feet are - and you'll have to trust me on this, my feet ain't the biggest part of me  .

Am rambling - - I'll get me coat - - -

Hello mate and welcome to the forums :)

4 years eh? could be a forums record that lol.

Good luck finding your tiles, if you can give more details about the tiles it would help as there are a few tile retailers on this forum who i'm sure would do a check for you, but they would need to know the exact name of the tiles.

All bought from Topps Tiles - think the 'biggies' were from Johnson Ceramics' or something
200x250 ripple effect white tile -
TRIP1A AA061y / TRIP1A /020 Ripple White Field

200x75 border tiles
TSTR1B TPSTRATO

Spooky enough, I went to Topps - the guy there seemed optimistic - got on the computer thingie and thought he'd located a box at one branch, another box somewhere else - -he seemed a bit 'down' when he said it may take a while to get them . When questioned as to what a 'while' was, he said 3 or 4 days - - -I mean 3 or 4 days is gonna make all the difference after 4 years ain't it :p .

It transpired that the branches that was showing up on the computer screen thingie as to having some, well, didn't . Technology eh - - who needs it :icon12: .

I will wait with baited breath for the guy from Topps to come back off holiday then - though I feel he is a tad inconsiderate being away just when I need him;) .

Once again, thanks for all this - -
