I

IvegotsTILE

Went to do a splashback in the middle of no-where today,I'd already been there to do the quote and was looking forward to a nice easy job.
I'd told the lady she'd need about 4 boxes of tiles and two lengths of trim when I did the quote, got there and there was only 3 boxes and 1 length of trim:mad2:

I told her that we'd be a bit short of both and she started to :bigcry: She said that it'll take a week to get the tiles in and that she had a big party at the weekend and that she desperately wanted it to look great.
I told her to sit down and I'll be mother, get you a cuppa and you'll be right as rain.I said after counting where each tile would go there was a possibility that if I didn't break ONE tile or cut ONE short and I could use NEARLY ALL of the waste cuts then there might be EXACTLY enough.

I MANAGED IT,I MANAGED IT:hurray: PRAISE BE TO JESUS!EXACTLY THE RIGHT AMOUNT AND BARELY ANY WASTAGE WHATSOEVER.

Come to put the last few bits of trim on and I'm 30cm short:whatchutalkingabout (BIT LIKE RAJA)NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I wasn't going to be beaten, this lady will have her kitchen!I cleared out my entire car an t here at the bottom was a single piece of white trim,it looked a bit short(also like Raja)I daren't measure it,or dare I?

34CM COOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE OOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!

Job done,looked amazing(no surprize,obviously)got a descent tip for a:8: and even got a :grouphug:

So ends another adventure in the life of Simon, saviour of splashbacks!

WARNING:This will only happen once every 5 years, normally you will be just 2 tiles short and theres nothing you can do about it.
