Hi everybody, just joined the forum, been a tiler for 37 years and still learning. Need to buy a new tile cutter for 900mm plus, I have been a rubi user for all these years but would like to hear if any opinions on something as good as or better, look forward to your opinions, please tell me why if you think you have something better than a Rubi :smilewinkgrin:

You will get the whole Rubi v Sigma thing.
I used Rubi for years & switched to Sigma a few months ago.
There is no comparison in my eyes, the Sigmas are the better cutters, once you have mastered the cutter then you will be impressed by the ease you can cut all tiles..

As Stef said, Rubi Or Sigma.. I personally prefer Rubi cutters & the red box they come in :lol:

Welcome along to TF. I needed a 900 cutter so bought a sigma 3DM, used it for a couple of months and couldn't get on with it, I ended up swapping it with a forum member for a tx900. Hope that helps in your decision making. Even if you try a sigma and don't get on with it, you'll be able to sell it for 90% of what you bought it for, the big cutters tend to hold their value.

The main contenders here will be Rubi or Sigma. This is not to say that the Montolit isnt a good cutter but I alwsys found the Sigma to be far better IMO. Best move would be try before you buy.

Welcome aboard. I used to be a Rubi user. I can't fault them. But back then there weren't many options to be honest.

Either or though. We have fans of them both I won't start the common debate up eh ha
