Kitchen and Bathroom

Morning all

I have a kitchen 10 m2 polished black granite
I have to lay 15 mil ply first and screw at 200 mil centres and treat ply at edges and top before laying i considered this daywork .

As for the granite tile will i have to treat them before laying them lithofin stainstop and was thinking what was the best adhesive to lay them on and grout ?.

Price wise £45.00 m2 just for laying he is supplying tiles

Bathroom 6x6 all walls £25 m2 he is supplying tiles again so just labour and adhesives & grout for both areas .

He has asked me to do a kitchen splash back and cheekly stated that maybe i had some tiles left of a job i could use i think he meant for nothing :yikes: ha ha .
Any help regarding granite floor appreciated and cutting granite as i only have a bricolline wet cutter thanx in advance mik.

prices seem fine m8,but you will need a good wet cutter(high rpm) with a decent blade!it will save loads of time!

As for laying the granite can you recommend adhesive and grout as i have not done a granite floor before .

if it has a decent motor(look for 750w or above) it should cope with this,don't think it would cope with granite on a regular basis though
would use bal spf for my adhesive but would stay clear of the bal charcoal grout,tends to turn out patchy,try mapei!

You will only need to seal the granite before grouting IMO. My choice of addy would be Keraquick with Latex plus additive as you are going onto ply but you may get away without the additive, depends how solid the floor is. Ultracolor Plus is the danglies for floors. Black is very good with granite, got some pics in my album if you want to see.
