just done my vinyl kitchen floor with porc/tiles.brick bond/if the vinyl tiles are down solid use a good flexi adhisive.youll be fine/i had to remove a few dodgy ones and ended up puting a thin screed over the whole floor but i was fussing about .go central from your cooker, centre of room, and see were the tiles fall in the doors.and go for the best veiw that you get when walking in:gettree:Can you tile over vinly flooring it seems to be glued down well enough but if it has to come up it has to?Then if the two doors are sitting off set do u work to the centre of back door or kitchen door? :santa_cheesy:
behind you all the way there grumpy, i always start from the middle of the room and see where that takes me. as for the vynil i'd spend the time to get rid of it preferably :santa_cheesy:If it was me, I would remove as much of the vinyl as possible (are we talking tiles or rolls of stuff?). I always base my setting out on the middle of the room initially and then see where cuts work out. With offset doorways, you may need to juggle a bit. Which door is the main (most used) access? This will be the first impression you get of the tiling so try and see in your head how it would look from that viewpoint and take it from there.
