Quickie re my proposed kitchen floor tiling....
kitchen units are in as you can see, so i will be removing kickboards, tiling under then replacing kickboards after. With regard to the clad-on end panel shown in the photo, should I just be tiling up to this or remove it too, tile under and replace once cut to size?

Not all base end panels are removable...check first before trying to unscrew anything as it could be supporting the unit..

I seem to recall when he was fitting it, all the units were separate and the end panels were fitted at the end, so shouldn't be a problem, cheers

Probably dust - can't be anything more serious or wife would have been shouting at me by now....!

If your going to cut the bottoms of the end panels/plinths - remember to seal/paint/varnish them on refitting to stop moisture getting in to the 'solid wood carcases'.
If it is a scuff mark from fitting the plinth - cherry blossom shoe polish should go nice.

Yes, its pretty smooth and flat. Unfortunately I won't be tiling directly on to it as I'll be putting insulation boards down first!
