Check wether worktops are level all the way along.

Splashback will most probably have a few sockets to cut into to tile behind and exsisting socket screws might not be then long enough so have some longer ones handy.

Check wether any gas rings are on when piling up empty boxes "wivers"

Splashbacks are normally very simple, just set out propperly and all should be fine.

When using extension screws, just check they don't 'clamp' a wire in the back of the box.

I went to do a 'simple' splash back today. Electrician left all the boxes proud of the wall. Hence the plasterer didn't get the walls flat around the boxes,Cuts had to blob on (covers were only a few mm bigger than the boxes) and one box was 12 mm proud so even these 8mm tile won't take the gap up AARRRGGGHHHH
