Hi Rob,

I used BAL's Pebble coloured grout for my kitchen floor. Check out the link to my pics below.

It will largley depend on the colour you go for, you'll find that some ranges will have certain colours whilst others wont, a flexible wide joint will be fine, best thing would be to pop to your supplier and see if they have samples. CTD for example have a display of cured grout samples so you can see the exact colour of the set grout.

Make sure you mix as per the instructions aswell or you could get a different shade.

Is Cream or Ivory ok for kitchen/room with access to garden? or would it discolour.

GGR - is that a light grey? hard to make out from pic.

Cheers

Rob

Hi Rob,

It's called Pebble and its a mix between grey and beige. Quite nice now it's down and dried. But as we have a mucky dog with mucky paws, we invested in some grout sealer too.

just finished grouting with Bal Pebble and it looks like sand? does it lighten up much or does it get darker?

I mixed iy up too runny at first it was literally running in the gaps, second mix stiffened up a bit hopefully first bit will dry ok!!

was that Sealer stuff easy to paint on?
also would it mark the tile if painted by accident?

Cheers

Hey Rob,

I'm struggling to remember how light it was when it was going in, but I bought the BAL ready mixed tubbed stuff. It might dry lighter in all honesty, but I reckon the grout sealer will probably change the shade again, but I cannot tell whether lighter or darker, sorry.

The sealer we used was clear and didn't appear to have any effect on the tiles. But I made sure my hubby used a very thin paint brush (like an artist's paint brush) to put it on with. Then there was no way he could paint too much of the tiles.

See how it goes and let the grout dry according to the instructions.

Keep us posted how you get on.
