Knee-pads !!

right time for me to buy a few pairs of knee pads ,i only buy quality pads ! so what would you pro's recommend ?? ,as we tend to be in them a lot of our lives i would like some with washable liners as i find i sweat at my knees and they end-up stinking .......... thanks for any replies .

For Pads in Knee pockets then Redbacks cant be beat, they wash well and do not deform.

I got some nice sqidgey red backs and a nice clean pain of trousers in the summer.......haven't used them yet, as I didn't want to get them dirty.

Still hanging up in my wardrobe.

I dont like the Redbacks. Too heavy and thick, my knees kept slipping off them. Uncomfortable to walk around in. Also take forever to get into the pockets.
Ive heard the Alpros are very good.

I agree with all of the above, but I have got into the habit of performing a little wiggle dance before kneeling to make sure I don't slip off them. My knees have definitely been better since using them

Lol, I have legs like a sparrow from the knees down! Love red backs though.

I'm the exact same, I can't get on with red backs, mines are gathering dust in my garage.

I use the Alpro ones as you probs know , but a question for you.. do you prefer knee pads you attach or ones for trouser inserts.?

Have used Alpros for about 3 years.

Got Redbacks a year ago and found them very uncomfortable at the time. Tried them again for a full week this month in Snickers floorlayer trousers and they still weren't a patch on the Alpros.

Maybe I just got a bad pair but I may as well put two bits of 18mm ply in my trouser knees.

these are heavy, but ive tried all sorts, they last a long time & comfortable when you get used to them.

Tried most including redbacks, didnt get on with them, like miss tiler, keep slipping off them, also in trouser type trousers get very messy when grouting, have used Rubi professional air pads for years now, though they do seem, to have a problem with splitting at moment, Rubi have reccognised this and replaced a couple of pairs for me, next best are the alpro

I've tried those a couple of times and didn't really rate them. I killed one pair within a week doing a large floor, they went flat and never regained shape again!!

I am not a fan of knee pads (generally) ....I have spent fortunes on them......I prefer a "prayer mat":



that thing that has a union jack on it!!!!!.........no loss of circulation.....or them slipping etc......but I have spoke to @redbackskneepad tonight.......we will see?

Get some redbacks in your life Lee, I promise you'll never look back. I had a torn ligament in March and they have undoubtedly helped the recovery process, I can get back to my trampolining again:lol:
