got asked to quote for job today from company i have worked for a few times
job is 50 mile away approx traveling is one hour. however this is all the info i have been given


labour only rate to install johnstons primatics 200 X 100mm tiles 130m2

labour only rate to install external tile bead to exposed corners to pipeboxing 139m

thats all the info i have been given, could any of you work a quote out from that

Those Prismatics really slow you down on fixing times as they are so small. I did some showers the other day in them and took much longer than i had thought it would.
I also found that fixing them with a 6mm trowel which you would expect to use was fairly useless with these. I swapped to a chunkier 8mm and the worked out much flatter and bedded in nicely.
You'll use twice the grout of an average job too.
I'd look at how many meters it will take you to do in a day for each tiler work the day rate out and add adhesive, grout and trims.
Then divide that by the meterage and you'll be surprised what these could actually cost fellas cost to fix per m2.
Find out how big the boxings are, this could play a major part in the quote.

also the ampunt of deisel it will take to get me ther and back everyday

Is it commercial?? If so make sure to price in PPE gear and a morning, or even all day for inductions.

i am not sure i have sent an email asking for drawings and a time frame in order to do job, i have asked the contract manager to phone me
as i want to find out about that and i would like to know how the walls are

spoke to the guy today and he told me it will be getting done in stages need to work the quote out for them
i have mentioned that i will need walls sorted, it will be just me doing job so ant ideas on quotes

Personally I'd still want to see the job first, sounds like there is a lot of boxings to do which time wise could massively eat into your bottom line if not priced correctly.......

£20m2 for the tiling on areas above 600mm wide, £25 linear m areas under 600mm wide, trim £1.50 per m

would you inc diesel in price as i reckon i am going to spend about 400 on fuel
was thinking in going in a bit more than that since it is a smaller tile

£30 m2 plus fuel. They really slow you down if the walls aren't great.

thats what i have went for .sent the price of mid week not heard anything back yet, worked out it was going to be a slow soul destroyer of a job so it needs to be worth while
