large tiles

I have 16" x 11", and 7mm thick ceramic tiles for a kitchen.
Would it be best to use cement based adhesive for extra grip?
Also, should these be back skimmed or back buttered in addition to spreading adhesive on the walls?
And do I need a 7mm width corner strip for outward corners.

Border line size wise..i would use a spf and a 8 mm trowel and back skim if back profile is patterned.......dave..

use a trim suitable for tile thickness..

What is the size tile where you go from using tubbed adhesive to cement adhesive? I think I've been told 30x30 before but I've a feeling you can use a bigger tile than that with tubbed.

Some times depends on the tile ....its just that if you use tubbed gear on to large a tile then you will have to wait longer too grout as it will take longer to dry in the centre of the tile....if in dowt use a spf or similar....dave....

just realised its for a kitchen so i would say tub gear is ok...use white star........dave....
