i have an old stanley cross level witch i sit on a camera stand, iv had it years, my mate has a hilti i believe wtich i used for a day but didnt get on with it, its one with a pole from floor to celining i just found it tricky to get the exact level i wanted, i rather just turn the handle on my stand much easyer, sorry if thats not alot of info lol

Spoken to Dave at Tradetiler,he rates the Bosch gtl3,just wanted to see what the boys on here thought about laser levels,as I don't mind spending good money on the right tool,as I can't stand getting something,and there is something better for one reason or other,I'm not going to rush into this,like I have in the past lol.thanks boys n girls.

Have got the Stanley which was £80 but for average bathroom just my Stabila spirit level, pencil line round just as quick.

I have the Stabila LAX good bit of kit for the price, wasn't keen on the tripod/pole so I modified an old tripod to suite, now I can wind up or use the pole. I prefare the wind up tripod, easier to find your datum imo.

Now't wrong with water levels, they built the Pyramids that way. The best lazer in the world can't go round corners, water levels can.:lol:

Had a Pls 180 for 5 years until I dropped it in November and had this ever since, better laser by far !

Have a PLS 180 and LAX50,my preference is the LAX50.For the price the LAX50 is hard to beat
its a good accurate laser with tripod/pole included.

i have a dewalt dw088k and a stanley both with poles, but i think the dewalt is the better of the 2 , wouldn't be without it. i have a rubi water level, takes a bit of setting up for a small room, but as posted earlier good for around corners and multi room

GLL2 80P has a 360 degree line - non rotatational so save on batteries. The tolerance is +/- 0.2mm/m. Beats everything else imho until you start spending about £800 +.

Do you use the gll2 80p with a pole or any other accessories ? Liking the look of that one,had a quick look on the net,see them for about the £350,any recommendations as to where is a good place to purchase one,wasn't looking at paying that much,was looking around the £200 mark,but would stretch it if it meant not regretting it lol.thankyou all for your input,regards Darren.

Checkout the thickness of the line before purchasing this one Darren as I've heard a few complaints about how it can get up to 4 mm even in a short range ! But am sure diggy can fill you in better on its spec!

4mm? Claptrap probably got it on lock lol. As regards the thickness of thr line it seems fine to me. Besides , yoi should mark to the middle of the line so thr spread over a longer distance shouldnt matter.
Still you pays your money as they say.
