Its more annoying that they and the customer knew im on a half day today.
Had 45 minutes wasted by the client as well discussing possible changes, only to go back to what was originally agreed anyway.
Nevermind. Got a key for tomorrow now so will turn in for 7am and pull a late one to get it all finished.

Sorry to here that mate. Ive just been told to finish my job today as the customer has to go out for the day.
I wish we all could do what Diggy suggests and charge them.

Well funny you mention that mate. I start a job for a bathroom company on Wednesday and among the paperwork they handed me is a copy of their Ts and Cs that their customer agrees to. Theres a few interesting lines in that about charges when customer supplied products is not on site, areas unprepared or not clear for work etc. May have to draft my own and pinch a few bits off this one.

We worked in the Mueseum of London a few years ago and at 3.30pm on a Friday, with half an hours work to do, we were told to clear site as they had an opening tea party for supporters at 7.00pm! We didn't go back for a month after that (having been fully paid) and I drove down from Newcastle for 2 hours attendance on site to complete - and got my expenses paid. Some people are not in the real world and if it was their money they wouldn't waste it!

I turned up to job on the date I was going to start 28th Monday, his wife who was in said she thought it wednesday which have been the 30th...off home I went:yikes:

I turned up at 8 today to meet leccy to show me where he put the wires for EUFH matt, never turned up , was not answering his phone /text, so i rang contractor, he told me where the points were for stats ect, laid and stuck (not slc) matt,34m2 ish, went home, electrician has just phoned, his phone 'was in me van' , oh and ive put matting in wrong place , main contractor was completely wrong, im quite upset

2 of us turned up to do a floor once, the UFH mat was down we proceeded to tile 30m, the husband was at home kept saying how he liked the tiles, we went home, got in next day to grout up, the wife was there said we had done a lovely job only thing was the supplier had delivered the wrong tiles!:lol:

well some times you have to have the right answers with no come back this happened a few times so you learn .when being told your late for work .answer how on earth can i be late for work :incazzato:as it does not start until i get here .now thats selfemployed it has some benefits
