Hi
had a loft conversion almost 2 years ago and fairly soon after notice staining on ceiling below, which i ignored thinking it was probably from the testing/installation. anyway, some of the tiles made a small 'movement' noise when walked on and grout started to come out. leak got worse, loft converters came out again jan 2012 and lifted the whole floor, put down a new membrane (apparently), new underfloor heating and retiled.
This time a couple of guys did the whole thing, laying the membrane, sealing and retiling (clearly not tiling experts as tiling looks like a dogs dinner - might suggest they arent wetroom experts either..).

the floor started leaking even more after about 3 weeks, and my vacuum cleaner sucked out the grout!
the loft people say it cant be their work and my floor (which they built) must be 'expanding' or moving away from the joists. my insurance company say i need to get a cause of damage report to them, which requires a reputable wet room company coming out and advising on causes/solution (presume there is a charge for the assessment) and possibly rectifying. insurance co will then apparently help me get money back from orig company if they are at fault.

Any wet room specialists out there in kingston upon thames area who want to step in?

thx all
