does anyone have experience of Fired Earth terracota tiles which have been laid upside down. The tiles are very similar on both sides and we are told this is a not uncommon problem. Would be grateful to hear from anyone with a like experience. Cheers

used incandscent glass mosaics from fired earth which are paperlined on the front seen these put on backwards. Were these tericotta tiles mosaics?

My best friend has had a LARGE quantity of fired earth tiles laid upside down by mistake. Both the shop where she bought them and the official Fired Earth tiler (who did not lay them) have told her that this is a common problem (nothing with the tiles indicates that this should be carefully checked) So far she has had a letter from fired earth suggesting that she takes them up and lays them the right way up. As you can imagine that will be impossible. Any advice would be so welcome as she is tearing her hair out. Possibly polishing them and pretending they are old would be the best option but at present they are leaking effuresence? and she has scrubbed them every day for a month

Les where in the world is this job they sound like the French man made ones have seen one or two laid upside down by mistake which is sort of acceptable but no more than say 1 every 100 tiles IMO or I would say possibly Tiler error pics would be a help even a name of the tile
