level floors

No moaning this week , just finished tiling two large floors this week and i really enjoyed the speed and ease of it all , for a change the floors were perfect ! no self levelling , rubbing down or buttering tiles! i love my job! lol p.s one small issue next time ill purchase a large floor trowel!:hurray:

Personally I prefer normal trowels regardless of the floor size, can't get along with the extra long ones......

extra long ones are great on a large floor imo, spoon the addy then spread it into substrate with the flat edge, then maybe use you're 12" inch to put the ribs in.

i really can't get along with them Doug, got a couple on the van and that's where they stay! Having said that I've got a 600mm trowel for slc'ing large floors and its awesome!

Its so much better when you have a flat floor to work on,I have a large trowel only used it once.

Got a long length 12mm Marshalltown trowel lately and loving it over the big floors.

I bought one of these 19" babies from Trade tiler but tried it once and then it went into the shed.. really strange to use it..

That one looks a bit odd, the Marshalltown one just has a standard handle so feels pretty natural to use after a few metres.

Had a long trowel and it sits in the lock up, just could'nt get on with it....standard trowel all the time.

I had a large 6mm trowel and it was give to an 'owt for nowt' friend.

Always use my extra long rubi trowel these days so much quicker
