Hi Everyone

We are about to re-tile the bathroom, I've tiled a few room but never used Limestone.
Due to its costs I not sure about taking this on due to lack of product knowledge.

Can this be done as a DIY job or am I best sticking to a ceramic tile?

This is what I know.
Wall tiles are 600x300 and 10mm thick
Floor tiles are 600x600 and 15mm thick

Walls 7 sq meters
Dry lined
Two studded, will remove plasterboard and fit thermal board.
One dry lined on concrete block, does this need thermal board or direct onto block?

Floor
18mm marine ply, no bounce, and only 3sq meters
I'd guess i'd need to use Schlüter-DITRA on this.

Will have to buy electric cutter good enough for job.
Hole cutters
Trowels etc.

Adhesives & Grouts
Not sure advise or research required.

So
1/ prep walls.
2/ seal back of stone?
3/ lay
4/ clean
5/ seal
6/ grout.
7/ drink lots of beer.

Could anyone offer advise?
Especially on the on the Adhesives & Grout and best method side of the project.

If you think its not a keen DIY job feel free to advise to leave alone.
But with the right advise and knowledge I quite fancy doing this.

Many Thanks Phil
