Limestone issue

A customer that I installed a French Limestone kitchen floor for last year called today to advise that he had spilt limescale remover on his floor.

I've had a look and it appears to have stripped the surface of the stone and bleached the grout.

I grouted with Ardex FS Limestone and sealed with 2 coats of Lithofin Stain Stop. Can the affected tiles be recovered or do I need to bash them out and replace? The customer does have a few spare tiles so it is an option.

The quickest option is to replace... are they honed finish or polished..? and which limestone is it.

It's honed, not particularly polished and perfectly calibrated at 15mm thick. Not sure what type as the customer purchased a job lot and could only tell me it was French??? I couldn't identify it but it did have quite a lot of dark veins running through.

Limescale Remover will eat into the Limestone, you have two options the first would be to try and hone the stone down, but you really have no idea how deep its eaten into the stone, or the other as Dave suggested pop them out and replace them.

Do you have any polishing gear..?..

Only a car polisher :lol::lol::lol:. Great for polished porcelain and marble not sure it's what you're talking about .

I guess I'll be digging them out then :mad2:.
