Limestone

Anyone used this tile;

600x400x10 Classical Tulum Gold Limestone Brushed?

Supplied through CTD.

Used a lot of different tiles but this is the 1st limestone we have used, any pitfalls or advice would be appreciated.

Laid over a concrete screed, poured roughly 16 weeks ago. wet UFH. havent checked the floor yet but i think we will need to self level, i asked for renovation screed to be supplied for this.

Asked about Ditra matting but its a no go, wont pay out any more money.

Whats the best adhesive for this also.

Hi Stef, as with any limestone work clean, I think I have used this recently. I would always reccomend a decoupler on ufh, but its down to the client at the end of the day. The thing I find with limestone is it can stain very easily. I use Mapei Keraquick, white. Good luck.

I havent specified the addy yet but i was looking at Weber rapid spf white. I havent used keraquick so may give it a bash.

I have expressed my concerns about the floor but they just want to go over the screed so it will be taken out of my hands.

What about sealer? was thinking LTP? we will get it sealed before & after being laid & after grouting.

LTP is good, but the last one I did I used Dry Treat, I rate it, a bit expensive, but seems to do the job.

I use the Drytreat Metacreme, water based and no smell. Works for me, good for kitchen splashbacks as well. Especially for people who like to cook in a wok!!!
