I saw this on a recently layed floor, today.

Floor was wooden suspended, not uneven concrete. :yikes:

Thats exactly what he told them Andy,

I've never laid slate before but its interesting about the thickness and the hammer and bolster...

I never pointed out any faults to her I just said "I like your new floor"
It was a local handyman who did it.

Maybe its not such a bodge then if slate comes in differing thicknesses (makes sense I suppose) but you're right mike, I would have sorted them in their seperate thicknesses before laying, I wouldn't have left steps like that.

You learn something on here every night.
